If you know anything about me, at all, you know I love to browse, test drive and discuss cameras. Old, new, full frame, crop factor, film, digital...it doesn't really matter because it all interests me, even if I never use the one we're discussing. Do I enjoy using the latest and 'greatest' equipment, when the job calls for it? Yes, any camera junky would say the same but there's beauty in not owning a $30,000 camera.
A friend not too long ago commented, "I love that shot! What camera did you use?" My answer, "a cheap, $30 film camera." The reaction was all I hoped it to be: confusion, questioning and acceptance. Sure I own 'better' cameras but a great shot is not limited by the camera you're holding.
A friend of mine recently blogged that he was asked for his iPhone portfolio. Seriously? Seriously. It's the world we live in and it's not going anywhere.
Use your imagination, do not limit yourself by the equipment you own and believe in your vision.
Oh, and go ahead and pick that camera back up now.
